First I would like to say that I really liked the book The Perks of Being a Wallflower. I really enjoyed reading this book. It was not a hard book to read or to follow with the story being told. The story it's self is very interesting I have never read anything like this book. I liked how the author chose to write the book. He wrote it so each page was a letter to an anonymous friend. I think this book can be very relative to teens weather or not they go through the same problems as Charlie and his friends go through. A teen could definitely relate to this book in some way or form. For example we have all known what it feels like to be alone at some point in time. We can also relate to having problems with friends. This book definitely portrays how life for young adults really is and that is one of the reasons I really like this book. It didn't sugar coat anything. It told us the good and the bad of the life of a teenage boy. I also liked how each character in some way had like their own story. My favorite character is probably Patrick. He is my favorite character because he is always so happy and he's just so bubbly. He's definetly different but he seems like he would be a fun person to be around. He is fun, bubbly, optimistic, funny, and kind. I also loved how Patrick and Sam took charlie in and became friends with him. Even though he has problems and he is a freshman and they are senors they still chose to become friends with him. I really admire the way Sam and Patrick treat Charlie. And I thought it was so cute how much of a crush Charlie has on Sam. He is so in love with her. He thinks she is the most beautiful girl ever. The thing is though he didn't just like her because of her physical appearance but he liked her personality and all the non-physical things about her. And that to me is how you know he really does like her.
